BetAtlas Age Verification Policy

1. Why we age-gate BetAtlas
BetAtlas is a tracker and analytics tool for users who already place bets at licensed sportsbooks. Although BetAtlas itself does not place bets, accept wagers, or hold funds, the Service is directly related to sports wagering and is therefore not appropriate for minors. This policy explains:
The minimum age you must be to use BetAtlas;
How we confirm your age at signup and what other safeguards apply;
What happens if we learn that someone underage is using the Service; and
What rights parents and legal guardians have if they believe a minor has registered.
It supplements the eligibility provisions in our Terms of Service (Section 3), the "Children" provision in our Privacy Policy (Section 12), and the age-related provision in our EULA (Section 8).
2. Minimum age
You must be at least the legal minimum age for sports wagering in your jurisdiction to register for or use BetAtlas.
United States: 21 years of age or older in every state where we are available, regardless of whether the state itself permits betting at 18 or 21. We have chosen the most conservative US rule so the same age applies everywhere we operate.
Other jurisdictions: 18 years of age or older, unless local law sets a higher minimum, in which case the higher minimum applies.
Restricted jurisdictions: If sports betting (or the use of a tool that aggregates sportsbook activity) is prohibited in your jurisdiction, you may not use the Service regardless of your age.
If you are below the age that applies to you under this section, you are not permitted to install, register for, or use BetAtlas, and you must not provide us with any personal information.
3. How we verify your age
We use a layered approach combining self-declaration at signup, store-level controls, the age checks already performed by the sportsbooks you connect, and signal-based detection. We do not collect your date of birth, and we do not currently require government-ID-based identity verification at signup, but we may add it in jurisdictions or for features where the law or our risk assessment calls for it.
3.1 Age confirmation at signup
BetAtlas cannot be used without an account, so the first time you launch the app you are taken to account creation. As part of creating your account you must affirmatively confirm that you are 21 years of age or older by checking a box on the signup screen. The box is not pre-checked, and the app will not create an account until it is checked. By checking it you represent that the confirmation is true and accurate.
This confirmation is a self-declaration. We do not ask for, compute, or store your date of birth. If you cannot truthfully make the confirmation, you must not create an account, and you must not provide us with any personal information.
3.2 App store age ratings
We submit BetAtlas to the Apple App Store and Google Play with the 17+ / Adults Only ("Sports betting / gambling references") rating where the platforms require an explicit rating, and we use the platform's gambling-related content disclosures so that store-level parental controls (Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link) can block the install for users who are below the configured age.
3.3 Sportsbook account requirement
To use the core sync feature, you must connect a sportsbook account. The sportsbooks we support already conduct their own "Know Your Customer" (KYC) checks and require government-ID-level verification of age before they accept a wager. A working connection to your sportsbook is therefore a secondary, indirect signal that you are at least the minimum age for sports wagering in your jurisdiction. We do not store or process the documents you provided to the sportsbook.
3.4 Signal-based detection
We may also rely on additional signals to detect underage use, including:
Information you provide to us (for example, in a support request or in your profile) that is inconsistent with the age confirmation you made at signup;
Content you submit (for example, chat messages or profile data) that indicates you may be a minor; or
Reports from parents, guardians, schools, or other users.
If any of these signals indicate that you may be below the applicable minimum age, we may suspend your account pending further verification.
3.5 Re-verification
We may ask you to re-confirm your age, or to provide proof of age (for example, a government-issued ID), if:
We have a reasonable basis to question the accuracy of the information you previously provided; or
A regulator, store, or applicable law requires it.
If we ask you for an identity document, we will tell you why, use the document only to verify your age and identity, and delete or redact it once verification is complete unless the law requires us to retain it.
4. What happens if we learn that an underage user has registered
If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the applicable minimum age, we will:
Immediately suspend the account so that no further data is collected or processed;
Delete the account and all data associated with it as described in the Privacy Policy, typically within thirty (30) days of confirmation, unless the law requires us to retain certain records for longer;
Decline any pending Pro subscription and direct the platform processor (Apple, Google, or RevenueCat) to refund any subscription fees charged to the account, to the extent the processor's refund rules permit; and
Decline to onboard the same user again until they reach the applicable minimum age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If information from a minor was collected before we became aware, we treat that collection as inadvertent and act on it under this section.
5. Parents and legal guardians
If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe your child has registered for or used BetAtlas, please contact us at privacy@4bettorinsight.com with:
The email address used to register the account, if known;
The display name or username used inside the app, if known; and
A brief description of how you became aware of the account.
We will verify your relationship to the child as required by applicable law (for example, COPPA in the United States) using the minimum information necessary and will then delete the account and all associated data as described in Section 4.
We honor parental requests to:
Review the personal information we have collected about a minor's account;
Delete that information; and
Refuse to allow further collection or use of that information.
We do not require the child's consent to act on a valid parental request.

If you self-exclude from a sportsbook, you should also disconnect that sportsbook from BetAtlas so that we stop syncing activity from the excluded account. You can do this from Account Settings → Linked Sportsbooks.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Age Verification Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification before they take effect.
